Caring for Cotton Muslin – Preserving Its Softness and Texture

To maintain the softness and characteristic crinkled texture of cotton muslin, we recommend:

• Machine wash at 30°C, following care instructions on the label.
• Use mild detergents only.
• Do not use fabric softeners or bleach – they can damage the natural fibre structure and reduce breathability and absorbency.
• Air dry flat or on a hanger. Tumble drying is possible on very low heat, but may cause slight shrinkage and enhance the natural crinkle.
• Ironing is not necessary – the natural crinkled effect is part of the fabric’s charm. If needed, iron at a low temperature with steam, using a cloth between the iron and fabric to avoid pressing it flat.
• Please note that muslin may shrink slightly after the first wash, which enhances the crinkle effect.
